Kalt und nass.    -   Cold and wet.

Nichts zu tun.  -   Nothing to do.

Es ist langweilig.  -    It's boring.

Was können wir tun?   -    What can we do?

Spazieren gehen.   -   Go for a walk.  

Im Regen?   -    In the rain?

Wir haben einen Regenschirm. -   We have a brolly.

Und Regenmäntel auch.  -   And, rain coats as well.

Gummistiefel?   -  Wellington boots.

Wohin sollen wir gehen?   -   Where shall we go?

Über die Felder.   -   Across the fields.

Durch den Schlamm.   -   Through the mud.

Ich kenne ein tolles kleines Restaurant.  -   I know a great little restaurant.

Wohnt Mary in Wien?  Does Mary live in Vienna?

Nein, Salzburg. No, Salzburg.   

Ist Mary Sängerin?  Is Mary a singer?

Ja, sie ist Opernsängerin.  Yes, she is an opera singer.

Mary ist eine sehr nette Person.  Mary is a very nice person.

Sie singt gerne auf Hochzeiten.  She likes singing at weddings.

John geht oft auf Hochzeiten.  John often goes to weddings.

Er  er war schon viermal verheiratet. He has been married 4 times.

Where is John?   He is with Mary.  Who is Mary?  She is John's girlfriend.  Where are they?  They are at Mary's.  Does Mary live in Vienna?  No, she lives in Salzburg.  Is Mary a singer?  Yes, she is an opera singer.  Mary is a very nice person.  She likes singing at weddings.  John oten goes to weddings,  He has been married 4 times.

Sie kommt um sieben Uhr nach Hause – She comes home at seven

Sie bügelt meine Hemden – She irons my shirts
